From our Vans Logroño sneaker store we are going to talk to you about this great brand, one of our favorites in the store and one that young people like so much.
It all started with a small shoe store in California in 1966 by brothers Paul and Jim. Already in the 1970s, creator Paul Van Doren entered the tough competition of sneakers at a professional level by creating Vans models for basketball, baseball, American football and even professional wrestling. In 1983, several of its models achieved great acceptance in the market.
The decade of the 90s would be very favorable for Vans with new designs in its shoes and the rise of the alternative rock scene and punk-pop bands in the mid-90s.
These bands would be the standard bearers of the Vans Warped Tour , a summer festival of punk, punk-pop, ska-punk and hip-hop music that was born in 1994. A year later, Vans took over the Triple Crown Series, a series of prestigious professional surf tests. Vans was the first skate brand to open a skatepark or skate park and that is why Vans is so famous in these 2 sports.
Currently, Vans no longer produces only footwear, thanks to the Pole and Tourov Pailowski, it has expanded its catalog to clothing, accessories and even videos, where skate tricks are explained for fans of this sport.
Vans is currently one of the brands with the greatest recognition by young people with an urban lifestyle who also love skateboarding, since from its beginnings it was designed especially for this target, since they identified that these kids like to feel the board through the sole, making it the best skate shoe.

Vans Women's Sneakers: Authentic
Vans in their purest form. The Authentic model represents the brand's style above any other design. They are unisex skate shoes with a low shaft, to give the ankle freedom of movement and make it easier to do your tricks.

Old Skool
One of the first models to show off the Sidestripe on the side. The Vans Old Skool have a low top and a canvas and suede upper. As a final touch, the sole with the Waffle -type pattern cannot be missing to guarantee maximum grip to the board.
The Old Skool model, with a leather toe and padded heel, became the main option for skaters, who needed more protection on the board.
Sk8-Hi
The Vans in boot version. The Sk8-Hi model came with the shank to better protect the ankles for more conservative skaters. They have a canvas and suede upper in a durable finish that includes a reinforcement in the toe to better withstand wear and tear.
The anklet is also very comfortable because it is padded to prevent chafing. They are finished with the rubber Waffle sole and the slogan "Off the Wall" . Light, compact and designed to last.
Vans men's sneakers: Slip-On
They are the most comfortable. No lacing, just the canvas upper and low shaft attached to a vulcanized rubber sole. The Vans Slip-On have the brand's own Waffle sole. Surely this model sounds familiar to you, it is the one that started with the legendary chessboard-type checkered design.
